Aapda Mitra scheme: Finally Uttarakhand government has implemented the Aapda Mitra scheme for all the youth in the state. The government started the scheme in Uttarakhand State on 11th October. The motive behind this scheme is to train all the youth regarding natural disasters. This scheme is implemented in 11 districts of Uttarakhand. During the training time all you will learn about the rescue operations, search and biochemical and chemical emergencies. The government also provide it with the emergency response kit and insurance coverage of rupees 5 lakh for each participant. This is for the next 3 years.

Who will Participate?
- The scheme is for you, the people of Uttarakhand.
- The government will select volunteers from NSS, NCC, Bharat Scouts, Nehru Yuva Kendra and guides.
- Volunteers from 11 hilly districts of the Uttarakhand State will be selected under the scheme.
- The age criteria to register for the Aapda Mitra scheme are 18 to 40 years.
- The minimum education qualification for the scheme is a 7th class pass.
