Tamil Nadu State Government helps the unemployed youth by providing them with training in different skills. On the occasion of the third celebration of the Nan Mudhalvan scheme government launched the “TN Vetri Nichayam Scheme”. Under this initiative, the government provide free skill training for the unemployed youth who are between 18 to 35. In the first phase of the scheme, the government provide the training to more than 70000 youth in the state. Through the skill training program, the government offer 165 courses in 38 industrial sectors. The training will be provided by more than 500 training institutes in the state. The government provide this skill-based training to the youth free of cost.

The training program also includes artificial intelligence training, which is a trending skill these days. What Is Vetri Nichayam Scheme 2025 ?

Under the announcement of the Chief Minister, the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation TNSDC implement the scheme all over the state. The government launched the scheme, intending to provide skill training to the unemployed youth who have a degree of ITI, Graduation, a diploma, or are school dropouts. All the applicants who register for the scheme will be eligible to get training under the various government departments. The government design the skill training and job opportunities facilities for the youth between 18 to 35 years of age. The government mainly focus on the unemployed youth who belong to economically weaker and poor families. 

They will cover the tribal communities, Sri Lankan Tamils, sanitary workers, and disabled persons. Features Of the Scheme

• The main feature of the scheme is to provide skill training to the youth who are looking for new job opportunities.
• The government want to upskill the unemployed youth to get better job opportunities and placements in good Industries.
• The Tamil Nadu Government mainly target the youth between 18 to 35 years who are passionate about their work.
• The government, in collaboration with different training partners, provide this facility of Technical skill development and industrial skills and expertise to the youth.
• After the successful completion of the training, the youth will get the certification from the organisation.

Eligibility For TN Skill Training

• The government provide this facility for the unemployed youth in the state.
• The eligibility for the youth is 18 to 35 years.
• The applicant must have a graduation degree, ITI, diploma or any other degree to get the skill training as per their education.
• Only the permanent residents of Tamil Nadu are eligible for the scheme.

Skill Voucher Benefit

This is also a new initiative under the scheme, where the applicant who will join the training program will get a skill voucher of Rs 12000. The candidate will redeem this skill voucher at the training centre. The candidate can redeem this amount only at the recognised training centre of TNSDC. This amount will also help the candidate to assess the training program easily, and they can choose the training course of their choice.

The candidate can enrol for the training program once in their lifetime and redeem this voucher only for the single training program. The skilled voucher amount will be given in 3 stages. In the first stage the only 30% payment will be given to the candidate, in the second phase, they will get the 30% after the course completion and assessment verification. The remaining 40% and the third stage amount will be given after the training outcomes and insurance.

• Candidates who are interested in the training program can register on the official website, candidate.tnskill.tn.gov.in.

• For the registration process, provide your phone number and click on the gate OTP.

• Then they will send the OTP to your registered mobile number.
• Once you enter the OTP then you will check their ongoing TN Skill Training Scheme programs, Training Status, and Placement details.

• Here you can choose the courses from the upcoming, ongoing, and differently Abled category.
