Telangana Handloom Weavers Loan Waiver Scheme Launched 2025: Eligibility, Benefits

The Telangana state government initiated the loan waiver scheme for handloom weavers in March 2025. The government want to reduce the burden of loans on weavers by providing them some help. The state government sanctioned Rs 33 crore for the implementation of this scheme. This is a great relief for all the Handloom workers who are facing a financial crisis due to loans on them. Under the scheme, the government provided loans Relief up to Rupees 1 lakh that help the Handloom workers to accelerate their handloom production.

They select all the beneficiaries district-wise, and the loan wavier amount will be sent to the beneficiary bank account. The assigned authority will verify all the documents and applications submitted by the Handloom workers who want to avail the benefit of this loan wavier scheme. About Telangana Handloom Weavers Loan Waiver Scheme 2025

The state government is waiving off up to Rupees 1 lakh loan for the Handloom Weavers. The scheme is for those Handloom Weavers who took the loan in 2017 to 2024. The Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, made this announcement for all the Handloom Weavers in the state and provided them with the financial assistance of Rupees 1 lakh in their account. This is a great move by the Telangana government to support the Handloom workers. Officially, the scheme was launched in March 2025. All the applicants who are eligible as per the government conditions must provide the documents of loan proof to the officials.

The last date to submit the proof of loan documents to the assistant director Handloom and Textile Department was 6 july 2025. Eligibility Criteria For Rs 1 Lakh Loan Waiver Scheme

• All the permanent residents of Telangana are eligible for the scheme.
• The scheme covers only Handloom Weavers in the state.
• The government waived off the personal loans of Handloom workers.
• The Handloom workers who took a loan between 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2024 are eligible for the scheme.
• Only those applicants are eligible for the scheme who will fulfil all the guidelines under the scheme.

How to Get Verify Under TS Handloom Loan Waiver Scheme?

All the Weavers who took more than 1 lakh amount loan they must repay the remaining amount before 6 July 2025. Those who will not be able to do so before the last date automatically enters into the rejected list of the scheme. This is the only condition by the government to get the benefit of the Handloom Weavers Loan Waiver Scheme. Once you are done with repaying the extra amount, you have to submit the receipt or proof to the local handloom department officers.

After all this process, the commissioner of the Handlooms and Textiles department will verify your documents and the repayment receipt with the bank. After the verification process, if you qualify the  guidelines then they will provide you with the financial relief of Rupees 1 lakh.
