The Delhi government is set to launch a new skill development and enhancement scheme for youth. The government provide this skill development and training opportunity in Khadi handloom industries for their use. In the first phase of “Delhi Skill Training Scheme”, the government will provide training facilities for 13,900 youths under a budget of 50 crore rupees. Delhi Skill Training Scheme
The skill development programme is launched by the Delhi government for the unemployed youth who are interested in handloom, khadi and Cottage jobs in industries. The officials also made the announcement that they will implement the scheme with the Delhi Khadi and Village Industries Board. The training for the youth will be provided by the partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation, the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development and other organisations.

Stipend For Trainees
Delhi skill training program not only provides the benefit of training in different fields of Handloom and handicraft jobs but also provides this type during the training time. All the trainees will get the stipend of rupees 400 per month for the 5 months of the training program. After the completion of training, the government also provides certification and a loan facility for the trainee who wants to start their self-employment business. The government also provide 10-days Enterprise development programme which enhances the skills of all the trainees in business and digital marketing.
