The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, has released two good news for the sanitation workers. The government will provide the Health Insurance Scheme for sanitation workers and the accidental death package scheme. The Chief Minister made this announcement for all the sanitation workers and Municipal workers only. During the Swachhata Rally program, the AP government made this announcement to provide insurance coverage for workers. The scheme was officially announced on 23rd August 2025. The government’s main goal is to provide this benefit to all the urban local bodies and workers.

What Is AP Sanitation Workers Insurance Scheme?

The TDP party in Andhra Pradesh not only sanctioned the health insurance coverage for the sanitation workers but also provides them with the accidental Insurance Scheme. In case of an accidental mishap, the government provide Rs 1 Crore Insurance Coverage and 10 lakh life coverage. Under the scheme, they also covers outsourced workers and provides them with Rs 20 lakh accident insurance and rupees 2 lakh life Insurance.  In case of a person’s death, the government provide educational support to the children of the deceased person.
