Andhra Pradesh government’s new initiative for women under the State Mission for elimination of poverty in Municipal areas, MEPMA have a great success rate. The state government have already launched the first phase of scheme.  The scheme named as “AP Rapido Empowerment” Under Government One Family One enterpreneur. About AP Rapido Empowerment Scheme

The government provided the facility for the women to ride e-bikes and e-auto rickshaws. In partnership with Rapido company, they charge zero onboarding fees and monthly charges for women riders for 3 months. In the first phase, the government provided 1000 electric vehicles, which included 760 e-bikes and 420 e-autos for the female riders in the state. The Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the partnership company have only one aim: to enable the women to become the breadwinners of their families. With the help of the scheme, the women are now able to earn more than 12000 per month.

The government provide this facility to the women who belong to a self-help group. The family members of the self-help group SHG women are also eligible for the scheme.  All the women who are facing the financial crisis can join the scheme and apply for the electric bike and the e-Autos.  These electric bikes and electric autos are provided by the government at a subsidised rate. Objectives For Womens

• The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial help to the women of the self-help group.
• The government provide electric bikes and electric autos for the women.
