The chief minister of West Bengal has launched the “Shramshree scheme”and official portal for all the migrant workers in the state. The government provides Rs 5000 per month to each  workers along with self-employment opportunities. This scheme is basically for those migrant workers who are coming back to West Bengal after facing discrimination in other Indian states. This is the first scheme that supports the Bengali migrant workers. The government help the workers who left their jobs in other states and are coming back to their home.

Objective Of the Scheme

• The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial help to the migrant workers. The West Bengal State Government launched the “Shramshree scheme” to provide the Rs. 5K monthly aid.
• The Scheme is launched under the Labour Department of West Bengal. All the workers need to register on the department’s official portal.
• The government want to provide employment opportunities, job offers and financial help to these migrant workers.  Along with this, the skill development training is also a part of the scheme, which helps the workers to learn more skills to get better jobs and employment opportunities in West Bengal State.

• By entering your mobile number, you will generate the one-time password.
